MY FM Becomes India’s Largest Private FM Network With 44 Stations

MY FM, operated by the Dainik Bhaskar Group, has expanded its network to 44 stations by securing licenses for 14 additional cities through the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s (MIB) Batch III Phase III FM radio auction, which concluded in August 2025. This marks the largest single-city allocation for any radio network in this recent auction, significantly increasing MY FM’s footprint in Tier II and III cities.

The new licenses include first-time FM coverage, or “greenfield” markets, in cities like Bhilwara, Sri Ganganagar, Pali, Sikar, Alwar (Rajasthan), Bhuj, Gandhidham, Daman (Gujarat & UT), Panipat, Rewari, Rohtak, Ambala (Haryana), and Rewa, Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh). These newly awarded stations are expected to begin broadcasting by the end of 2025.

The MIB’s Phase III Batch III auction aimed to allocate hundreds of FM channels to previously unserved cities, and MY FM was the leading participant in terms of new licenses won. Each license is valid for 15 years from the date of commissioning. With this move, MY FM solidifies its position as one of India’s largest private FM networks, strengthening local engagement and expanding its mission of delivering tailored regional content to new audiences.
